Penile Botox® and Scrotal Rejuvenation

Advanced Botox® treatments for men that improve erectile function, comfort and appearance. All injections are performed by a medical doctor.

In recent years, physicians have found that Botox® is useful for considerably more than softening facial lines. It has applications in erectile function and in scrotal rejuvenation. At our clinic, all injections are carried out by a medical doctor.

Botox® for erectile dysfunction

Studies have shown that men with ED who received a Botox® injection demonstrated improvements in penile blood flow, allowing for stronger and longer-lasting erections.

The mechanism is straightforward: Botox® relaxes smooth muscle. In the penis, relaxation of the smooth muscle in the corpus cavernosum is precisely what allows blood to fill the erectile bodies. Relaxing that tissue pharmacologically improves inflow.

Penile Botox® consists of two injections into the corpus cavernosa. It is often considered for men who:

  • Haven't responded adequately to oral ED medication
  • Can't tolerate the side effects of oral medication
  • Want a treatment whose effect lasts months rather than hours

Botox® for penile shrinkage and the retraction reflex

Many men complain of penile shrinkage, often the result of internal tissue retracting into the pelvic cavity, particularly when exposed to cold. This is a "hyperactive retraction reflex," and it's a real, mechanical phenomenon rather than something imagined.

Botox® relaxes the muscles responsible for that shrinkage reflex and encourages the production of new blood vessels, addressing both the flaccid appearance and the underlying circulation.

"Scrotox": scrotal rejuvenation

Scrotox is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment of the scrotum using Botox® injections. It is used to:

  • Decrease sweating: a genuinely underrated quality-of-life improvement
  • Reduce wrinkling by relaxing the dartos muscle
  • Create a smoother, larger, more relaxed appearance
  • Reduce discomfort from tightness and chafing

Anecdotal evidence also suggests it may improve sensation and pleasure during sex.

What to expect

Treatment is performed in-office in a private setting. Topical numbing is used. Results develop over one to two weeks and typically last three to four months, extending with repeat treatment.

Side effects are usually limited to temporary tenderness or minor bruising at the injection sites.
